Club Timber Auction

Many thanks to everyone who supported last Sundays successful timber auction. Thanks to the Coen, Quigley and Harty families and Morgan Hough for donating timber and thanks to those that helped to split and deliver timber. Thanks to Joe Hannigan who entertained the crowd as auctioneer. Well done to Michael Mulcahy who won a free load of timber also.

Championship Dates

The dates for the Senior and Intermediate club championships and leagues have been released. The County Hurling Leagues will commence on the weekend of March 19th and will take place every two weeks thereafter throughout the months of March, April, May and June. The County Championships will commence on the last weekend in July with the date for the North Championships dependent on Tipperary's Intercounty campaign.

Management

At last Saturday night's executive committee meeting, Sixmilebridge native John O'Meara was ratified as the Kiladangan senior Hurling manager for 2023. He will be joined on the management team by Sean O'Meara, George Hannigan & Darragh Egan.

The club would like to thank Dan Hackett and Sean Treacy for their service as part of the 2022 Senior management team. Both have given great commitment to the club throughout the years and have excelled in their roles.

The remaining management teams will be announced within the coming weeks.

Kiladangan Community Race Day

Kiladangan GAA club will be running a race day in Limerick racecourse on Sunday 12th March. Buses will be arranged on the day to transport people to and from the racecourse. It promises to be a great day so keep the date free in your diary. More details will be provided soon.

Lotto

There was no winner of Monday 23rd January lotto jackpot of €6,500. Jackpot numbers were 14,21,26,35. No winner of the Second Chance €500 draw with the number 10,16,26,34.

The Kiladangan GAA Jackpot will be now increasing by €250 per week so next weeks jackpot now stands at €6,750.

There are currently a number of options available online on how long you can sign up for whilst tickets are also available in the shops and restaurants in the parish.

Scór na bPáistí

Kiladangan Juvenile Club is getting Scór na bPáistí up and running in the parish again after a few years break. This is a competition to promote Irish culture and heritage that goes all the way up to an All Ireland final.

There are numerous competitions that can be entered but for Scór na bPáistí all entrants must be in Primary School.

Recitation/Story Telling

Figure Dancing

Sean Nós Dancing

Novelty Act

Question Time

We are planning to hold a Parish Final for those interested on Friday 10th February in the new complex in Puckane. From this we will select one act in each competition to proceed to represent Kiladangan Club in the North Divisional Final on 24th February.

Ireland Lights Up

In conjunction with Operation Transformation, the club are taking part in Ireland Lights Up for 8 weeks.

We hope for a crowd to walk around the track in the GAA field in Puckane every Wednesday evening at 7.00 pm. All ages are welcome from around the community.

Please come along early to enjoy the warm up & craic with Tommy Connors.

Snooker

Well done to Kiladangan hurler Mark Gleeson who was a member of the Nenagh New Institute snooker team that claimed the All Ireland Snooker Club title last weekend.

Sympathy

The club wish to express sympathy to Jimmy O'Dwyer and family (Belleen), on the passing of Jimmy's mother Elizabeth (Betty) O'Dwyer (Church Road, Moneygall). May she rest in peace.
