With the club taking part in the North Intermediate final this Saturday (@ 4 pm in Borrisokane against Moneygall) for the first time in 15 years, we take a look back to 2004 where the club claimed the North Intermediate title defeating Borrisokane in the Final .

The match report from the Kiladangan history book reads as follows:

Kiladangan were favourites to take the North title in Nenagh. But in the event they were lucky to come away with a narrow win. Borrisokane were the better team for the most of game and must still rue the fact that they drove so many wides, especially when enjoying the strong breeze in the first half. They led by four points at the interval and extended it to eight at one stage in the second half. But Kiladangan made a great come back – now their specialty – and began to impose themselves on the game. The half backs got completely on top and Hugh Flannery’s penetrating solo runs were bothering the Borris defence. With seven minutes remaining Kiladangan got the all important equaliser. The Guardian of 9 October described it:

Conor Hayes gathered at the right side of the full forward line, rounded his marker, darted left and shot at the near post for Kiladangan’s second goal, which levelled the game with 2-10 apiece.

Borriis went a point ahead from a free but Darragh Egan equalised. As the game entered injury time Darragh slotted over a long range free from way out near the touchline. He added another a minute later to cap his impressive 1-9 tally. The match ended Kiladangan 2-13 Borrisokane 2-11.
