Intercounty Action

Well done to Billy Seymour and Sean Hayes who were part of the Tipperary U20 panel that defeated Cork last Saturday evening on a 5-17 to 1-18 scoreline in the All Ireland Hurling Final. Billy Seymour gave an outstanding display and received the man of the match award after he scored 2-5 from the full forward position with 2-2 coming within the first 10 minutes of the game whilst Sean Hayes made a substitution appearance early in the second half and still has two more years at the grade. Well done to both lads on their win and its great to have two more All Ireland medals coming back to the parish, a total of six in six days. Well done to all.

Under 11

Mixed fortunes for our U11 teams against Roscrea last Thursday evening in Puckane. The U11B team were well beaten but the U11D team were in flying form and recorded a fine win on a scoreline of 5-5 to 2-4. Both teams are out again this Thursday evening - the B team are away to Silvermines, while the D team play Ballinahinch at home.

Under 13

Having had a bye last week, the U13s have two games this week. They played Shannon Rovers in Ballinderry yesterday evening with no result at time of going to press. They will play Newport in Puckane on Friday evening at 6.45pm.

Under 16

The curtain came down on our U16s season following on a loss to Toomevara last Thursday evening in Nenagh at semi final stage. It was a tough, hard-fought, close game all the way through but in the end the opposition held out to proceed to the north final on a scoreline of 0-13 to 0-16.

Many thanks to the team management for the work done with this fine panel of players this past season.

Underage Inter County Representation

Best of luck to all the Tipperary underage teams who are out in action this coming weekend in the U14, U15 and U16 All Ireland Hurling Championships.
