County League
The senior hurlers qualified for the Semi Final of the Division 1 league after their hard fought 0-19 to 2-11 win away to Clonoulty Rossmore last Sunday afternoon. Kiladangan put in an impressive first half performance and enjoyed a 0-10 to 0-4 half time lead but Clonoulty clawed their way back into the game in what was a very competitive half of hurling. The last five minutes of the game was a tit for tat affair with the sides trading points with Clonoulty leading by a point going into injury time but three late points from Martin Minehan and Tadhg Gallagher (x2) claimed the victory for Kiladangan. This win now means Kialdangan topped the group with seven points after five games and will take on either Thurles Sarsfields or Borris Ileigh in the semi final.
The Intermediates had a long trip to Goatenbridge last Sunday evening to take on Ballybacon Grange in Division 4 of the County League. Ballybacon went into the half time break with a 0-10 to 0-8 lead in what was a close game throughout. Ballybacon had a two point lead going into the closing minutes of the game but two points from Eoin Gleeson ensured that the spoils were shared between the sides with the game finishing on a 0-14 to 0-14 scoreline. After five games, Kiladangan sit fifth in a table of seven with three points. The lads still have Clonoulty Rossmore left in the last game with all still to play for in the relegation battle.
Teams and scorers for the two games are available on the clubs website. County league results, tables and scorers are available on the clubs website.

Under 21 Jim Egan Memorial Sevens Tournament
The Jim Egan memorial Under 21 Sevens hurling tournament took place last Saturday afternoon in Puckane. Due to a number of late withdrawals, four teams ending up taking part with Kiladangan joined by Borris Ileigh, Toomevara and Holycross Ballycahill taking part in a group of four with all teams playing each other in the group stages with the top two teams qualifying for the Final. In the end, Toomevara defeated Kiladangan in the final with Mary Egan presenting the trophy to the Toomevara team. Well done to Toomevara on their win and thanks to Toomevara, Borris Ileigh and Holycross Ballycahill for taking part. Many thanks also to Philip Kelly and Christy McLoughlin for refereeing the games and many thanks to all those that helped out on the day.

The Juvenile Club will be holding a Clothes Collection over the next 6 weeks or so to raise funds for the players. Items that can be donated include: new or used men's, women's, or children's clothing; household textiles (curtains, towels etc.); shoes; handbags; belts; SOFT toys (no plastics) - all items can be in any condition as long as they are clean. Donations should be placed in a plastic bag, which should then be tied. Bags can be brought to the pitch in Pocan during any juvenile training session or match and left in the designated dressing rjoom - the one with the door on the side of the building beside the referee's room. We would ask that bags be left only at the times of Juv training sessions/matches. We will be collecting clothes up to the middle of July. Your support would be greatly appreciated.
