Senior Hurling

Hard luck to our Senior Hurling team and management, who lost out to Moycarkey-Borris in the County Quarter-Final in FBD Semple Stadium on Saturday. Kiladangan got off to the perfect start, with Dara O'Dwyer finding the net inside the opening 15 seconds. That set the tone for much of the first half, with the lads producing some excellent hurling and commanding the game. We were dealt two injury blows during the opening half, with both David Sweeney and Brian McLoughney forced off. Despite those setbacks, Kiladangan continued to play some great hurling and went in at the break with a six-point advantage, leading 2-10 to 1-7. Unfortunately, another injury blow followed early in the second half when Sean Hayes was also forced off. The lads continued to battle on and produced some fine scores from both play and placed balls, remaining in the driving seat as the game entered its final ten minutes. However, Moycarkey-Borris then hit a decisive purple patch. Two quick goals, followed by a strong run of points, turned the game in their favour. We added two late points, but by then the contest had slipped away. It finished: Kiladangan 2-22 Moycarkey-Borris 3-23. Unfortunately, the defeat brings the curtain down on the season for our Senior Hurlers. A huge thank you to all the players, management, coaches and everyone involved with the team for the work and commitment they have put in throughout the year. Thanks also to everyone who supported the team throughout the season. It is greatly appreciated.

Camogie

Well done the the Junior A Camogie team who had a great win over Kilruane MacDonaghs on Saturday evening. Final score: Kiladangan 3:13. Kilruane 0.9. They now face Moyle Rovers in the semi-final, scheduled for the weekend of the 26th of September. Please see social media for confirmed fixtures. Well done to our Junior C Camogie team who finished the year off in winning ways after a great win over Moyne Templetuohy on Sunday evening. Best of luck to our U16's as they prepare for their semi-final this Thursday the 17th of September in the County Camogie grounds at 6pm. Best of luck to all players and management.

Juvenile

Hard luck to our U14 B hurling team who lost out to Ballina in the North U14 B semi-final yesterday on a scoreline of 1-10 to 2-11. It was hard fought contest which they controlled for long periods and were extremely unlucky not to find the net on a number of occasions. Well done to all the players for their tremendous effort and determination, working hard and battling right up to the final whistle. That brings an end to the campaign for this year. A huge thank you to all the mentors and management for the time and commitment they’ve given to this team throughout the year. It’s greatly appreciated. 

Best of luck to our U12 A team who take on JK Brackens in the County U12 A semi-final this Saturday 19th, at 12:00 noon in Roscrea. Please come out to support the team!
