Camogie
Well done to our U16's who had a great win over Ballina in rough weather conditions on Sunday evening. Best of luck to our Junior A camogie team who take on Gortnahoe-Glengoole in Gortnahoe on Saturday, September 5th at 6:00pm.
A huge congratulations to Molly Fitzpatrick, Saidhbh Ryan, Sally-Ann Slattery, Eabha Meaney, Emily Molloy and Caoimhe Connolly who were part of the Portroe LGFA U14 team who won the County Final at the weekend.

Juvenile
A huge congratulations to our U12 A hurling team, who produced a fantastic performance to claim victory in the U12 A North Hurling Final in Cloughjordan, defeating Roscrea on a scoreline of 5-5 to 1-11. Kiladangan got off to the perfect start when Kieran Girard found the net inside the opening minute. Roscrea responded well and worked their way back into the contest, but Kieran struck for his second goal in the ninth minute of the first half. Jack Fitzgerald added two lovely scores from frees, and at half-time there was nothing between the teams, with the sides level at 2-2 to 0-8. The second half began in similar fashion, with Kiladangan making another flying start. An early Jack Fitzgerald free found the net, giving us the perfect boost after the interval. Roscrea responded strongly with some excellent scores from play, but Kiladangan kept pushing forward. Kieran completed a brilliant hat-trick of goals in the ninth minute of the second half before Iarlaith Flannery found the net in the 18th minute to put the finishing touches on a memorable victory. While the goals caught the eye, the Kiladangan defence was absolutely superb on the day. Our backs played tremendous hurling throughout, working tirelessly together and keeping Roscrea away from goal for the vast majority of the contest. Their tackling, determination and work rate provided the platform for the victory. Our midfield also put in a huge shift, battling for every ball and linking defence and attack brilliantly. From the backs and midfield right through to the forwards, every player played their part. It really was a full team effort, with everyone contributing when it mattered and showing tremendous determination and teamwork from the first whistle to the last. Full Time: Kiladangan 5-5, Roscrea 1-11. What a fantastic achievement by this group of young players. Huge credit must also go to the mentors, parents and everyone involved with our Under 12 A team for all the work and commitment throughout the year.
Best of luck to our U12 C hurling team who take on Kilruane in the U12 C Shield playoff on Wednesday, September 2nd at 6:30pm in Puckane.
Best of luck to our U16 hurlers and management team who take on Moneygall in the North U16 B Final this Saturday, September 5th in Templederry at 5:00pm.

Dillon Quirke Foundation
Huge thanks to the Dillon Quirke Foundation, who screened 45 of our young hurlers and camogie players last week. It's a fantastic initiative, and we are very grateful to the Foundation for providing this important screening. A big thank you also to our Juvenile and Camogie Officers for organising everything and helping the day run so smoothly.
