County League
Our Intermediate hurlers travelled down to Carrick on Suir last Tuesday evening (22nd) where they lost out to Carrick Davins on a 2-13 to 1-18 scoreline in what was a good game of hurling. Early goals from Darragh Egan (from the penalty spot) and Jack Loughnane gave Kiladangan a five point lead after twenty minutes. However, Davins clawed their way back into contention in the remaining ten minutes of the half with Kiladangan’s lead reduced to one at the half time interval. Davins continued their grip on the game into the second half and enjoyed a three point lead ten minutes into the half until Kiladangan bought the game back to a draw with fifteen minutes left on the clock. The remainder of the game was a tit for tat affair with Davin’s greater accuracy in front of the posts in the closing stages proving to be the winning of the game. Kiladangan’s team and scorers are available on the club website. Many thanks to Davin’s for their generous hospitality after the game. The lads attention now turns to their next game against Gortnahoe Glengoole on Saturday 9th June at 6.00 pm in Puckane. Kiladangan currently sit fourth in a group of seven. Full table, results and fixtures are available on the club’s website.
