Fundraising Plan

There is a successful history in the parish of Carrig and Puckane in relation to our field games, developing new grounds and building club facilities, walking tracks, putting on large and courageous events, such as Muck Off, Kiladangan Cycling Challenge and ‘Stars in their Eyes’ the list is endless. Most of this success is evident in the developments over the past 30 years in our club, it’s now time for us to leave a legacy for our generation and ones to follow. We ask you to partner with us in a new ambitious plan, a plan that will benefit the whole parish and community for generations. Currently, there are over 200 young boys and girls plus 100 young adults playing sports in the parish. 

We want to keep encouraging and attract more youths and adults alike from the community to the club and offer better and more modern facilities in line with other clubs locally and nationally. The plan for modernisation involves the provision of and indoor sports complex , gym and meeting rooms which will serve the entire community. This facility is going to be a fantastic addition to community life in the parish. Remember all the winter evenings when training was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions!

This facility will now provide all weather training  for all age groups and will also be available for individual training and other activities. The facility will provide a service area to cater for teams and groups that traditionally had to go out of the parish to find suitable catering facilities. This new development will help maintain a good community spirit and a sense of belonging for all. New toilets and changing facilities will also be provided. 

This new development is a mammoth task in terms of fundraising. We as a committee are confident we will meet the target. This of course will be made possible if you and your business support this project though the purchase of signage. Letter to Parishioners

Dear Parishioners,

I am delighted to share with you our new ambitious plan for Kiladangan Community Centre.

We are looking forward to the development of the modern facility that will benefit young and old within our community. Our development includes the provision of the following facilities:

-       Multi-Sports Hall

-       Changing Rooms

-       Showers and toilets

-       Gym

-       Meeting Room

-       Car Park

The development will welcome all sports including but not limited to G.A.A, soccer, badminton, basketball and tennis.

We look forward to group meetings, drama and dancing groups and many others availing of this community centre. We are proud of the facilities we currently offer including our new running/walking track and we hope that this new development will continue and enhance the sense of community spirit that is so strong in our parish.

The proposed development is a huge challenge for our parish. We know it will be financially difficult and challenging to achieve. However, we know that with your support, young and old will have a community centre of an excellent standard of which we can be justifiably proud.

An information and fundraising booklet, outlining the financial aspects of the plan, is enclosed with this letter. We hope that when you have read the fundraising proposal documents that you will be supportive of our plan.

During the coming weeks, promoters will discuss these plans with you and other parishioners. Your donation will be private and confidentially administered by the Finance Committee.
